Hello RSP Leaders!

Welcome to the new messaging format!

ORIMHA has created a section of their website just for YOU and it is live! This is where you will find:

  • FAQs and downloadable reports related to this project on the landing page

  • RSP Newsletter section for current and archived messages from us (and a place for folks to subscribe if they want but have not been receiving these messages)

  • A glossary of common terms used in this project

  • A collection of resources curated for RSPs

  • Details about our Community of Practice meetings (and more) in an events page

We will continue to add to this site and welcome your feedback on how to make it more useful to you!

Important Information and Updates

Did You Know??

Implementation and large-scale systems change is not easy….Historically, it has taken an average of 17 years to achieve full scale implementation of a new initiative (e.g., Balas & Boren, 2000). However, with improved supports and a stage-based approach to planning for implementation; the time may be reduced to 2-5 years (Cook et al., 2013)! In fact:

Wong, D. R., Schaper, H., & Saldana, L. (2022). Rates of sustainment in the Universal Stages of Implementation Completion. Implementation Science Communications, 3, 1-12.

We are currently in the pre-implementation stages of ‘exploration’ and ‘installation’ where we are doing our planning for starting IECMH Consultation! Therefore, it is critical to complete as many activities in these early stages of planning as possible. If you haven’t already had time to dive into the Implementation stages planning tool, check it out here:

Implementation Stages Planning Tool

On pages 5-8 you have the EXPLORATION and INSTALLATION stages. These are the activities most often skipped when starting a new initiative but are MOST CRITICAL to success in scale-up! We encourage you to complete the checklist to help your planning. But please don’t hesitate to reach out to Sondra (sondra.stegenga@utah.edu) and Nichole (nichole@or-imha.org) if you have any questions!

Other Reminders

If you weren’t able to attend on September 5 in Salem we want to meet with you! Please sign up for a one-hour virtual session for IECMH Consultation implementation support to get your implementation plan up and running!. These sessions are for the RSPs who could not attend the in-person session in Salem on September 5.

Up to two RSP teams can sign up per time slot. (Which facilitates some peer learning too so we encourage this!). If you have more than one person representing your RSP team, be sure you select just one time slot that works for all of your team members so you can meet and plan together. A link to join will be sent to the person who signs up. The link should be shared with co-workers from your RSP if they will also participate. SIGN UP HERE.
