We're thrilled to share some exciting updates on all the great things happening at Oregon Infant Mental Health Association (ORIMHA) this month.
Upcoming Event.
REMINDER: The 2024 Northwest Early Learning and Pyramid Summit invites early childhood administrators, coaches, behavior specialists and state teams to come together for in-depth learning and networking to promote young children's social emotional development and equity in early learning.

An Important Update.
As you know, continued growth and development are crucial for all IECMH professionals, ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of skills, knowledge, and ethical practices. ORIMHA captures this ongoing professional development through Endorsement renewal. We are excited to share that Endorsement® renewal will now be captured through an attestation process and is moving to a three-year renewal cycle.
The 2024 Endorsement renewal period is from October 1 through December 31, 2024. Once your Endorsement is renewed, it will be due again on December 31, 2027.
To complete your Endorsement® renewal, please follow these steps:
Login to EASy: https://orimha.myeasy.org/
Select “Renew Endorsement” for each Endorsement you wish to keep active. Consider archiving any old Endorsements you no longer need.
Select each met requirement.
Click “Attest.”
Pay any applicable renewal fees.
You will receive an automated email from EASy confirming that your Endorsement has been renewed. You can also confirm the successful completion of your Endorsement renewal by checking the Endorsement Registry.
ORIMHA’s Support of Regional Service Providers (RSPs)
ORIMHA was selected as the central entity to support the implementation of infant and early childhood (IECMH) consultation for the statewide Early Childhood Suspension/Expulsion Prevention Project. Erin Kinavey-Wennerstron, Sondra Stegenga, and Nichole Paradis continue to support the RSPs in scaling up IECMH consultation by offering a range of resources:
*Training on IECMH consultation - WHAT it is and WHY it is important
*Peer to Peer supports via monthly virtual Community of Practice (CoP) sessions
*Intensive training and planning supports via in-person CoP sessions (September & November 2024 and planning for spring 2025)
*Individual supports for RSPs who are unable to participate in in-person gatherings and upon request for any reason
*Consistent messaging - Bi-weekly email communications on IECMH consultation and implementation tools and resources
*A section for RSPs on the ORIMHA website with sections for resources, events, FAQs, etc.
*Clarifying Endorsement requirements and linking Endorsement to IECMH Consultation Competencies
*Creating thoughtful stage-based plans for implementation
*Supports fur culturally responsive hiring practices including:
Sample job description with pathways to meet requirements for those with and without Masters degrees in mental health
Coming soon: Sample interview questions & guidance on culturally responsive hiring practices
Como usted sabe, el crecimiento y el desarrollo continuos son cruciales para todos los profesionales de IECMH, ya que garantizan el mantenimiento y la mejora de habilidades, conocimientos y prácticas éticas. ORIMHA captura este desarrollo profesional continuo a través de la renovación del respaldo. Nos complace compartir que la renovación del Endorsement® ahora se obtendrá a través de un proceso de atestiguar y pasará a un ciclo de renovación de tres años.
