November 8, 2024 RSP Newsletter
Dear RSP Leaders,
A brief update for you as we prepare to be together in Portland next week!
Important Information and Updates
Sample Job Description
To access the Sample Job Description, go to https://www.orimha.org/regional-service-provider-resources You will see the “Draft” watermark has been removed, making it possible to copy and paste. Newly added language since the last version is highlighted in blue. You are not required to use this posting, but we hope it provides language that can be used across RSPs and will help us achieve our goal of identifying a diverse, qualified pool of applicants that reflect the community served.
In Person CoP
For those of you who who will attend the in-person Community of Practice in Portland next week, please remember:
If able, we encourage you to bring a computer and your work-to-date on the Hexagon and Implementation Stages Planning Tools if you were at the Sept. 5 meeting or have started on these after meeting with us this fall.
If you do not have or have not yet started on either tool, that’s OK! We will break into 3 groups and offer hands-on support to meet everyone where they are at in their planning process. There are many regions just exploring or just getting started. We are so excited you are able to make it to this meeting! Here are the three groups planned:
Hexagon Planning Tool: New RSPs or those who are considering being an RSP (we will go over how to use this!)
Implementation Stages Planning Tool: RSPs who have competed the Hexagon Tool and are ready to begin working on or continue toward their Implementation Plans
Implementation Plan: RSPs who have completed the Hexagon Tool and Implementation Stages Planning Tool and are ready to make their plan or move further in the stages of their plan!
Time devoted to implementation planning support will be as concrete as possible and prioritize the items that are required for your implementation grant for the state. Attention will be paid to adopting additional best practices, as time allows.
Other parts of our agenda on Nov 15 will include grounding ourselves in diversity-informed principles, the role of the Endorsement credential, and adoption of equitable and inclusive hiring practices.
If you have not yet done so, please email Dona Lopez Tinoco at dona@or-imha.org to let us know you will attend. This is important so we can plan materials and have enough food for all!
Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Nov 15. Dinner on Nov 14 is on your own.
See full 2-day agenda below.
Save the Dates
Can’t wait to see you in Portland!
